Concept Development
Manhattan Kansas has always been a welcoming community. founded as a free-state town, selling to miners on their way to the rockies during the gold rush, and opening up higher education to women. The Kindred Hotel embodies the manhattan spirit and the Hills we built our home on. Welcoming visitors into our town, our community, our family; at the Kindred hotel, we grow together.
This brought us to our concept of Coalesce, which is to grow together, to unite as a community, or to blend. We split our main concept up by the hotel and the restaurant. The restaurant has a more vibrant, energized feeling to it, whereas the hotel embodies relaxation and rejuvenation.
